Description
This qualification has been developed for those individuals looking to learn basic life support for adults and children. The qualification may support a role in a workplace across any industry, particularly health care, or those participating in any form of social, leisure or sporting activities.
While some learners may be interested in undertaking this qualification for personal development, those working in a GP or dentist surgery may attend to meet industry requirements. This qualification includes the use of a AED and is aligned to the current UK resuscitation council guidelines.
Upon commencing this qualification learners should be a minimum of 14 years in order to undertake this qualification. Learners must demonstrate first aid procedures as part of their assessment, including providing CPR to a casualty on the floor. Therefore, learners must be physically capable of performing CPR on the floor.
For this course learners are required to undertake a number of practical observations which must be passed in order to complete the course.
Upon completion of the course including the submission and approval by QNUK of the relevant course paperwork, candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for a period of one year.
