Description

The Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised prehospital care qualification specifically designed for those looking to progress their career within the NHS or independent ambulance services as an emergency care assistant, intermediate ambulance practitioner, or event medical provider. It is also ideal for those who are looking to work within specialist roles in the military, police and fire services.

Following on from the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF), this qualification provides learners with a wider scope of practice in prehospital care emergencies and also forms part of a progressive suite of prehospital care qualifications

Learners must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the training.

Learners must hold a valid (in date) Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) or a valid (in date) Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) qualification or a QA recognised equivalent
and provide continuing professional development (CPD) profile containing evidence of 118hrs study and/or contextualised practice before they can begin the Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) qualification.

There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or equivalent.

Upon completion of the course including the submission and approval by Qualsafe of the relevant course paperwork, candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for the period while the Learner maintains a CPD portfolio and has attended annual refresher training. Training should include the assessment and treatment of cardiorespiratory arrest and life
threatening injury/illness. This may include an Immediate Life Support qualification.
