Description
Description
This qualification is for those that require additional training in basic life support and safe use of an AED. Many attendees are those working in environments that have an AED available, such as Gyms and public places such as shopping centres, transport hubs etc. The qualification can also be used by staff working in Doctors and Dentists practice as part of annual training.
The qualification has also been designed as the perfect add-on to standard first aid courses where learners are typically only required to understand how to attach the AED pads and follow instructions. This qualification builds on that knowledge to provide a wider understanding of using this work equipment as required by workplace regulations.
Upon commencing this qualification learners should be a minimum of 16 years in order to undertake this qualification. Learners must demonstrate first aid procedures as part of their assessment, including providing CPR to a casualty on the floor. Therefore, learners must be physically capable of performing CPR on the floor.
For this course learners are required to undertake a number of practical observations which must be passed in order to complete the course.
Upon completion of the course including the submission and approval by QNUK of the relevant course paperwork, candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for a period of one year.
