Course Description
The QNUK Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Adults in Health and Social Care (RQF) is intended for those that are working in, or are looking to start work in health and social care. The qualification introduces the key principles associated with safeguarding adults at risk in a health and social care setting. The qualification is ideal for those working towards the care certificate or as part of ongoing refresher training.
Course Duration
This course is delivered over one day as a face to face course.
Pre-Requisites
This qualification is available to those over 18 years. Learners should be at least at level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent. Learners should be physically capable of undertaking practical elements
Course Content
This course covers a range of content including:
- Principles of safeguarding adults at risk in Health and Social Care
- How to identify those at risk from harm
- Reducing the likelihood of abuse in Health and Social Care
- How to respond to suspicion or reports of abuse
Course Assessment
For this course learners are required to undertake an invigilated MCQ paper which must be passed in order to complete the course.
Learners must have sufficient command of the English language to understand and undertake the recommended assessment methods for this qualification and it is strongly recommended that learners should be working at level 1 and above.
Certificate and Validity
Upon completion of the course including the submission and approval by QNUK of the relevant course paperwork, candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for a period of three years.
