Description
The Emergency First aid at work qualification is the choice of many employers to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. Where employees are working in higher risk environments where the risk of dealing with a catastrophic bleed is more likely; additional training may be required.
This qualification is aimed at those over 16.
Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods.
Attendees will be required to demonstrate First Aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore be physically capable of doing so.
For this course learners are required to undertake an invigilated MCQ paper, and observed practical tasks which must be passed in order to complete the course.
Learners must have sufficient command of the English language to understand and undertake the recommended assessment methods for this qualification and it is strongly recommended that learners should be working at level 2 English literacy.
Upon completion of the course including the submission and approval by QNUK of the relevant course paperwork, candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for a period of three years.
